image insert
Hey, admin, I wanted to insert an image into a post, but I think the site only lets me insert an http address and not a pic from my own computer. Maybe I'm missing something here? I did the
thing, but couldn't get any further.....
Re: image insert
Maybe a 'How To..." for Dummies?

Re: image insert
Hi again. The forum software is the latest version. We like to keep thing secure but always upgrading to the latest version.
There is a plugin for uploading images via another site.. but this pauses two problems..
https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/postimage/
BUT!......
1. Do you really want to trust your images to a third party site..
2. Also the plugin has not been updated for a while and certainly for the latest version of the forum software.

Re: image insert
You're right about 3rd party - not really my cup of tea - ah well....
Re: image insert
I see that in the introduction section someone included pics of themselves - so how was that done? via a 3rd party website? I've tried cut 'n paste and stuff but to no avail.
Re: image insert
Hiya Charlene. I am no expert but you have to host the images elsewhere and supply a link in the code….. I think.
Most forums seem to be this way….from experience.
